EU-RTD, FP7: ENV.2007.4.1.4.2 Improving observing systems for water resource management (FRP) – Deadline due. This call was under the sub-activity 6.4.1 Earth & Ocean Observation systems and monitoring methods for environment & sustainable Development (21M€).

E-participation (DG Information Society & Media): is a preparatory action that aims to harness the benefits of Information and Communications technologies to improve legislative and decision-making processes and to enhance public participation in such processes at all levels of government decision-making. A call for proposals will stay open until 13/09/2007. The total budget for this call for proposals is 4,7M€(more oriented to legislative aspects…)

E-content (DG Information Society & Media): It aims to make digital content in Europe more accessible, usable and exploitable. The eContentplus call for proposals for the year 2007 was launched on 7 July 2007 (OJ C 154). The deadline for receipt of proposals is 04/10/2007. One of the funded lines is: “Best practice networks for geographic information” (~14M€). The call is open to all legal entities (public and private) established in the EU Member States. (Turkey can be included)

EUMEDIS: is a regional MEDA project for the development of the Euro-Mediterranean Information Society which aims at interconnecting through the Internet the Euro-Mediterranean research communities thanks to pilot projects in five priority sectors of intervention (among others: Information and communication technologies applied in industry and innovation). No call for proposals actually.

FP7 ERA-NET: aims to increase the cooperation and coordination of research programmes carried out at national or regional level in the Member States and Associated States and which target one third country or several third countries in a given region. Total Community funding for an ERA-NET should not exceed 3M€.
