The event will present the latest Water Think Tank works on Water Demand Management at territory level. Launched in 2009 at the initiative of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco during the 5th World Water Forum in Istanbul, the Water Think Tank Mediterranee is a multi-stakeholders platform which conducts action-research works on water issue in the Mediterranean. Several partners (Plan Bleu, Office International de l´Eau, UNITAR and Fondation Veolia Environment) have joined this platform whose secretariat is handled by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. Its vocation is to contribute to the dessemination of messages to raising awareness and taking greater account of the environment in the Mediterranean.

This initiative follows on from a round table organised by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, UNITAR and Veolia Environnement, during the Zaragoza Water Expo management in 2008, on the theme of integrated water resource management and the role of local authorities.
