7th World Water Forum, 12-17th April 2015, Daegu & Gyeongbuk-South Korea

In 2015, the World Water Forum, the largest water-related event in the world will take place in Daegu & Gyeongbuk of Korea. The World Water Forum is a large-scale international conference that is held every three years since 1997 in cooperation with the public, private sectors, academia, and industries. It was first launched in an effort to facilitate international discussions on global water challenges.

Water is one of the most basic element for the survival and happy life of humanity. However, many people around the world are suffering from water shortage and poor sanitation. Also, water issues have been a major concern in the 21st Century.

At this juncture, it is highly significant that Korea will host the 7th World Water Forum, where stakeholders from about 170 nations gather in Daegu & Gyeongbuk to discuss water challenges. In particular, the Science & Technology Process is newly included in the 7th Forum in order to make sure the implementation of solutions drawn from the previous editions of the Forum.

WEAM4i project will be presented at a session organised in cooperation with the Netherlands Water Partnership, the Danish Water Forum, IME and the Global Water Partnership - Mediterranean. This session takes place on April 14th, 2015  from 14:40 - 19:00 in Gyeongju - Hotel Hyundai (Emerald & Ruby Hall, 2F).
