Conference: EIB Financing for the water sector in Romania

The European Investment Bank in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Water and the Association of Romanian Water Utilities (ARA) will hold in Bucharest (RO) on 23 November 2006 a conference on financing for the water sector addressing public and private stakeholders from Romania and beyond. The one-day conference is designed to bring together representatives from the government, local authorities, scientists, experts, managers and stakeholders from the water sector and will promote awareness and understanding of the EIB’s financing. The aim of this forum is to present the most recent developments in the water and sanitation sector in Romania associated with trends and developments in other European countries demonstrating and promoting good practice. The EIB will gather at this conference Romanian and international experts from the water sector, senior staff from the EIB as well as local and regional government officials to discuss innovative ways of funding municipal and regional projects in the water sector.
