The 1st meeting of Working Group F on Floods

The mandate of the Working group is available on DG ENV's Water website as part of the Work programme of the Common Implementation Strategy 2007-2009.

The main objective of the meeting is to continue the work previously undertaken in the context of the Floods stakeholder group to exchange information on various issues in relation to flood risk management at the EU level and to start the reflections on the next steps to be taken in this new Working group, in view of an agreement on the Floods Directive.

Meeting documents will be made available on the CIRCA website.

The meeting will be held in English, with no interpretation available. Unfortunately, the Commission can not reimburse any travel expenses for the meeting of the Floods Working group.

For security reasons, it is necessary to provide a list of participants to the event. It is assumed that those nominated as formal representatives of the Working Group on Floods will attend. Additional participants, including from other stakeholder and NGO, are asked to register by email to Karin Bazzi and Maria Brättemark at the latest 26 Aril 2007. Given the size of the meeting room it may be required to limit the size of delegations.
