Event OSCE Chairmanship/ NATO Workshop on "Water Scarcity, Land Degradation and Desertification in the Mediterranean Region - Environment and Security Linkages"

The theme of this workshop is "Water scarcity, land degradation and desertification in the Mediterranean region - environment and security linkages". The event is a follow-up to the 15th OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum.

The purpose of the workshop will be to assess the linkages between water scarcity, land degradation and desertification on the one hand, and security on the other, as well as to exchange views on the appropriate policy response and to advise on the specific role the OSCE*, NATO and other organizations could play in fostering environmental security in the Mediterranean region.
