The World Conservation Congress 2008

The World Conservation Congress is the premier environmental event of 2008, that will take place in Barcelona, Spain from 5-14 October 2008. The first half of the Congress will be the World Conservation Forum, from 6-9 October. This will be the place to debate pressing environmental issues and solutions for sustainable development. The Forum seeks to reach agreements, share solutions and create new partnerships for a diverse and sustainable world.

Building on IUCN’s long history of bringing together diverse stakeholders and providing scientific leadership, the Forum will bring different sectors together from all over the world to share knowledge and experiences, develop innovative and inspiring solutions and make commitments to help us to move forward together on the path to sustainability.
