Short course on Negotiation and mediation for water conflict
A "Short course on Negotiation and mediation for water conflict" will be jointly offered by UNESCO's "From Potential Conflict to Cooperation Potential" programme (PCCP) and the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education. The course will introduce the basic concepts of water cooperation, conflict prevention and mitigation, as well as provide in-depth skills training. Present day issues relating to transboundary water conflicts will also be discussed with guest speakers working in the fields of water governance and conflict resolution.
The course will be held from 6 to 24 April 2009 and the deadline for applications is 6 March 2009. You will find more details in the Flyer attached or on PCCP's website under the News section: www.unesco.org/water/wwap/pccp
