Event Second session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Protocol on Water and Health

The Protocol on Water and Health, in force since 2005, is a unique international legal agreement adopted specifically to protect human health through the prevention, control and reduction of water-related disease, the improvement of water management and the protection of ecosystems. Ultimately, the Protocol aims to ensure access to safe drinking water and adequate sanitation for everyone

The Second session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Protocol on Water and Health will mark an important milestone in the evolution of the Protocol and in the improvement of water and health in the pan-European region. It will provide an opportunity to review progress achieved so far and to reflect on and plan for the challenges that lie ahead.

Each participant should complete the registration form and transmit it to the UNECE secretariat (cammile.marcelo@unece.org) as well as to the host country representatives (ana.drapa@mmediu.rovalentin.brustur@mmediu.robefore 1 November 2010, by e-mail. For participants requesting financial support this deadline is 11 October 2010.
