A Little Less Conversation and a Little More Action: A World Bank Event on Water at COP 16
As part of the Dialogs on Water for Climate Change (http://www.d4wcc.org.mx/) sponsored by the National Water Commission of Mexico (CONAGUA) from December 1 until December 8, the World Bank is organizing an event titled "A Little Less Conversation and a Little More Action".
The event’s main objective is to raise awareness among high-level policy makers and media outside the water sector on the costs of failing to place water adequately in the climate change debate. It will bring together government officials from client countries, World Bank senior management, as well as senior representatives of partner agencies, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector. The one-day program is built around expert debates, documentary screenings, a town hall with key media representatives, and a global dialogue to discuss how to move from conversation into action.
