The main topic of the 21st ICID Congress is "Water productivity towards food security", and that of the 8th International Micro Irrigation Congress is "Innovation in technology and management of micro irrigation for crop production enhancement" which reveal not only the gathering, exchanging, and applying of experiences from all over the globe but also the top challenge of future agriculture and water sector of the world. The International Executive Cuncil (IEC) manages the affairs of ICID; its 62nd meeting will be held in Tehran from 15-23 Otober 2011 during the 21st ICID Congress and 8th nternational Micro Irrigation Congress.
