Specialized Course on Water and Cooperation

World Geologists began a specialization course on 'Specialization in Supply and Sanitation water in the context of development cooperation. " 

The course, to be conducted in the headquarters of the Euro-Arab Foundation  in October this year. With this course Geologists of the World want to improve living conditions of the most vulnerable sectors of civil society, focusing  on the management of mineral resources, mitigation geological hazards and to promote knowledge of territory, with special attention to poor countries with lack access to basic services like water. This is an eminently practical course of 600 hours duration, which aims to train technicians from NGOs and governments or any other person interested in matters related to the water  cycle in the context of development cooperation. The course develops from October 2011 to June 2012 and will be held at the Euro-Arab Foundation headquarters in Granada. The schedule will be chosen by students registered by Doodle platform. This course includes practical work in NGOs by students in various NGOs and granted scholarships for research and training projects being carried out in developing countries development. Failure to perform these practices, Students prepare a final research project supervised by teachers of the course. In the course syllabus includes the following modules:

Module I: Hydrogeological Study (80 hours) Module II: Hydrochemistry (40 hours) Module III: Supply 
water (140 hours) Module IV: Water and Environment (20 hours) Module V: Project cycle in the water sector (40 hours) Module VI: Sanitation (20 hours) Module VII: Public health and hygiene promotion (20 hours)Module VIII: Emergency interventions (50 hours) Module IX: The social dimension of water (40 hours)Module X: Work end or practices in NGO (150 hours).
