ENPI CBC Med Programme: Programme Mid-Term Conference

Current and future challenges of cross-border cooperation in the Mediterranean will be the main focus of the Programme Mid-Term Conference, which will take place in Rome on 17th and 18th July.

Besides examining the results achieved so far by the Programme, the Conference intends to constitute a platform for reflection and exchanges on the future opportunities of cooperation in the Euro-Mediterranean region.

In the framework of the drafting of the new EU Regulations related to the Neighbourhood Policy, the Conference aims at analyzing to what extent this Policy, especially its cross-border component, has changed the Euro-Mediterranean relations. The Conference is also designed to collect the expectations from the main concerned stakeholders in view of the coming 2014-2020 EU programming period.

The event will gather a wide range of actors representing governments, EU institutions, regional authorities, municipalities and the civil society. In addition, large attention will be given to the projects funded by the Programme.
