Event Water Integrity Workshop: Broaden the base, Increase the pace

The workshop is convened by OECD, Water Integrity Network, Transparency International and SIWI-UNDP/Water Governance Facility.

The event will provide an opportunity to discuss challenges and best practices in promoting integrity in water services and water resources management across OECD and non OECD countries. The workshop aims to support the activities of the Working Group on “Integrity and Transparency” of the OECD Water Governance Initiative, with the following objectives :

  • Launch the Water Chapter of the OECD Cleangovbiz Toolkit for Integrity ;
  • Discuss policy messages on water integrity and transparency to be included in OECD Principles on Water Governance (forth, 2015) ;
  • Discuss indicators on water integrity/transparency that could contribute to a potential “governance target” of a dedicated “Water SDG”;
  • Discuss the contribution of the private sector to better integrity in the water sector
