EMPOWERS side event in Stockholm

On Sunday August 17 at 17:15 o’clock the EMPOWERS Thematic Group organises a side event in the World Water Week to launch the EMPOWERS guidelines for improved local water governance. The guidelines are based on work in Egypt, Jordan and Palestine that was carried out in the framework of an EU funded MEDA project by a partnership of international and local organisations. They are part of a set of publications including a story book on local water governance, a guide to process documentation and a summary of the EMPOWERS approach. All publications are available in English and Arabic.

The side event will present the main elements of the guidelines and the stories of local people working on improved water governance. There will be opportunity to share experiences and discuss approaches for water governance.

Please come and join us for an interesting and exciting 1.5 hours. Because of the late afternoon timing of the event sweets from the region will help to satisfy your first appetite.
