Joint CIWEM/ASTEE/EWA Conference in Lille: Water Framework Directive - Emerging Challenges

The aim of the conference is to explore emerging policy and technical challenges linked to the Water Framework Directive which have arisen in the past few years. The objectives of the conference are to:

• Brief and update delegates on a range of challenges that have linkages to the WFD
• Explore the next steps in addressing these challenges
• Bring together a diverse audience from across the EC for knowledge sharing and networking
• Highlight examples where integration of sectors and disciplines has been demonstrated successfully

The likely subject areas are:

• Water Scarcity and Drought
• Climate Change Mitigation
• Floods Directive
• Asset Management and Infrastructure
• Surface Water Management
