The Euro-Mediterranean Ministerial Conference on Water: Adoption of the Strategy for Water in the Mediterranean
This conference must approve the Strategy for the Mediterranean on water issues.
The first Water Expert Group Meeting will be hosted by Greece and supported by the European Commission. It took place in Athens on 7-8 September 2009.
This first WEG meeting signified the launching of an importantprocess that should lead the countries of our region to the elaborationof a new Strategy for Water in the Mediterranean, aimed to be adoptedat the next Ministerial Conference on Water, 12-14 April 2010, in Barcelona (Spain).
