SUMMARY:
The systems of drainage and purification of worn water are different from one area to another and depend on several factors: (topographies, geology, climatology and economic) and if a systematic technology transfer which will be able in the immediate future to solve the problems of purification of our country, no one would not doubt the process the such lagunage which is adapted better to the climatic conditions of Algeria.
The coastal city Annaba is currently the only significant locality in Algeria which treats its water used by the system of lagunage built on old salt-water marshes for a capacity of 375 000 equivalents of inhabitants occupying a surface of approximately
In the continuation of the this communication one will report the experiment of Algeria as regards purification of urban worn water by lagunage (ponds of stabilization) and their possibilities of recycling them with the profit of industries.
The advantages which has this system of bio oxidation (pond of stabilization - lagunage) compared to a station of purification, relate to the simplicity of its implementation with lower cost of exploitation.
Key words: used water, purification, lagunage, pond of stabilization, purified water, recycling of water.
