PhD Scholarship in Fluvial Geomorphology, University of Lleida, Spain
The University of Lleida seeks for applicants willing to undertake a PhD Research Project on ‘Sediment transport in the Lower Ebro River’. Candidates are expected to complete a doctoral thesis in four years within the Doctorate Programme ‘Environment, Water and Soil Sciences’. Work will be carried out within the framework of a Research Project funded by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science: ‘Design and Application of Flushing Flows as Strategy for the Restoration of River’s Hydro-Sedimentary Equilibrium. Application to the Lower Ebro’ CGL2006-11679-C02-01.
The scholarship is funded by the Ministry of Education and Science and includes a stipend that equates to other University studentships around Spain. The scholarship will cover tuition fees of the Doctorate Programme and other university expenses. The successful candidate should have a degree in Physical Geography or a cognate discipline, preferably Geology, Hydraulic Engineering and/or Forest. Engineering.
