News Summary of the Forum on Global Climate Strategies beyond 2012

On April 11-13 2007, the Florence School of Regulation at the European University Institute (Florence, Italy) and the Institute for Technology Research of Comillas University (Madrid, Spain) organized in Madrid a high-level meeting to identify the most promising global climate change strategies beyond 2012. This Forum was an independent initiative with the distinctive feature of bringing together -by invitation only- about one hundred people who have major roles in shaping future global climate strategies. The meeting has facilitated an informal exchange of views among key influential people on the future climate change regime and the possible ways to move forward.

The summary report of the meeting is now available online. This summary report offers the interpretation, by the organizers of this event, of the rich material and the diversity of opinions that were presented and debated during the Forum.
