Beahrs Environmental Leadership Program (ELP), University of California, Berkeley is seeking applicants for the 2008 summer certificate course in Sustainable Environmental Management at the University of California, Berkeley. Applications must be received no later than February 1, 2008.

The Beahrs ELP (ELP) links the complex local and global environmental challenges of practitioners and decision-makers around the world with interdisciplinary perspectives in environmental and natural resource science, policy and leadership at U.C. Berkeley. The core component of the ELP is an annual three-week summer course in Sustainable Environmental Management held on the Berkeley campus.  Course graduates become members of the Berkeley ELP Alumni Network that supports on-going learning, peer exchange and collaborative research and policy projects through the Small Grants Initiative.

Each summer 40 mid-career environment and sustainable development professionals participate from international organizations, academia, government, NGOs and the private sector. A limited number of partial scholarships are available. Unfortunately, there are no full scholarships. Application review begins January 1 and applications must be received no later than February 1, 2008.
