The fourth annual plenary session of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly in Athens
The President of the European Parliament Hans-Gert Pöttering attended
the fourth annual plenary session of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliamentary
Assembly (EMPA) that is taking place in Athens this Friday 28 March.
President Pöttering will lead the European Parliament's delegation and will participate in his capacity as member of the Bureau and vice-president of the Assembly. Energy and Environment will be the main topics of discussion.
"Both sides of the Mediterranean must work together to protect our environment. The development of new, clean energy technologies and efforts to improve energy efficiency must be pursued more intensely", President Pöttering said.
