New Support Materials on Local Government and IWRM
ICLEI's Africa Secretariat has launched a set of information and guidance materials entitled ‘Local Government and Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM)', marking the end of the European Commission funded LoGo Water project. The materials can be downloaded in English, French and Portuguese from the LoGo Water website at www.iclei-europe.org/logowater
Also of use for organisations and individuals supporting local governments, the materials range from theory to practice and include the following four parts:
Part I: Reaping the Benefits - How Local Governments Gain from IWRM Part II: Understanding the Context - The Role of Local Government in IWRM Part III: Engaging in IWRM - Practical Steps and Tools for Local Governments Part IV: Making Water Work for Local Governments - Ten Top Tips for Integration in Water Management
A CD-ROM containing the complete set of materials as well as hard copies of Parts I and IV in English and Portuguese can also be ordered from ICLEI's Africa Secretariat (see www.iclei.org/africa for contact details). For further information contact logowater@iclei.org .
