Senior Policy & Advocacy Officer, WaterAid America, USA [Deadline 01 Dec]

Duty station: DC or at the NYC office, with significant time expected to be spent in both locations.
Contract: permanent, full-time position
Salary: commensurate with experience and accomplishments

Under the direction of the President/CEO and in coordination with relevant colleagues throughout WaterAid, the Senior Policy & Advocacy Officer (a new position) is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership in planning, implementing, and evaluating WaterAid America's policy analysis, advocacy, and campaigning. S/he will also play a significant role in representing WaterAid America, its work and public policy positions to high-profile external audiences and in adapting and disseminating these messages for various written and online communications, media, and fundraising purposes.

A strong working knowledge of US political and NGO culture, institutions, and processes acquired through 10+ years of experience is one of the requirements.
