FoEME released its own “Model Water Agreement”

In response to the World Bank’s report on restrictions on the Palestinian water sector, which revealed the extent to which water resources and sustainable development are being held hostage to the conflict, FoEME released its own “Model Water Agreement”. This Model Water Accord constitutes a detailed agreement for cooperation in addressing common Israeli and Palestinian water challenges and in managing shared natural resources and calls for the replacement of the Joint Water Committee with a new body where equivalent powers and responsibilities would lie.
