News Call for papers for the 4th International Conference on Water Resources and Arid Environments (ICWRAE)

Duration of Conference:

  • 4 days (5-8 December 2010) - The awards ceremony for the 4th Award of the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water will be held on the evening of the first day. 
  • The deadline for applying and uploading abstracts is 30 October 2009.

Conference Objectives:

  • To provide a scientific framework for awarding the Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water, and for announcing the topics of research for the 5th award.
     
  • To exchange knowledge and share information in water resources and desert-related fields.
     
  • To explore the use of new technologies in the study of arid and semi-arid environments and their natural resources.
     
  • To provide an opportunity for decision makers, experts, and scientists to share their expertise in order to find integrative and comprehensive solutions for water resource problems.

Travel, Transport and Accommodation Costs:

  • The conference organizers will provide hotel accommodations and breakfast during the four days of the conference only for participants presenting papers accepted by the conference’s scientific committee.
  • Transportation will be provided between the airport, hotel and the conference venue and vice versa.
  • Air tickets will not be provided by the Conference.
  • The conference organizers will not bear any expenses for conference attendees who are not presenting scientific papers.
Exhibition:
  • The conference will be accompanied by an exhibition, which will be open to all parties who share a concern with water resources.

Submission of Papers:

  • Abstracts must be submitted online, as part of the online application process, no later than 30 October 2009.
  • Notice of preliminary acceptance will be given on or before 1 December 2009.
  • Papers must be submitted in full on or before 15 March 2010. All papers will be refereed.
  • Notice of final acceptance will be given on or before 1 June 2010. If changes are required by the referees, the final updated papers must be submitted on or before 15 August 2010.
