"Water for All" Competition
For the second year running, the Suez Environnement - Water for All Foundation, under the aegis of the Institute of France, is sponsoring the Water for All competition. The purpose of the competition is to locate projects designed to improve, enhance and professionally develop urban water and wastewater services in developing countries.
Two prizes will be awarded in May 2010 in Paris:
- The Grand Prize, for an amount of €100.000
- The Special Prize, for an amount of €30.000
The competition is open to research bodies, universities and higher schools and covers all the issues related to the implementation and management of these services: Wastewater treatment, Networks, Customer Management, Service Invoicing and Financing, Organisation and Governance, Access by underprivileged populations, Initial and Continuing Training, Urban and land planning.
The call for projects is open from October 01, 2009 to December 15, 2009.
These awards are a great opportunity to encourage research and to make widely known outstanding and innovative projects to improve urban water and sanitation in developing countries.
