CAS Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM): Call for registration
IWRM is the abbreviation for “Integrated Water Resources Management”. It is concerned with the process of promoting the coordinated development and management of water, land and related resources in order to maximize the resultant economic and social welfare in an equitable manner without compromising the sustainability of vital ecosystems. It should be noted that the management of water resources is defined as a process; consequently it is also a learning process. CAS – Objectives Participants will be trained to consider water-related problems from an integrated and global point of view, derive and discuss possible solutions and propose potential activities in a local context. They will improve their management and monitoring skills with regard to water projects in Developing and Transition Countries.
