Mountain dams in remote Tunisian districts

Sixteen mountain dams were built between 2002 and 2009 in remote Tunisian districts. With a total budget of 14.5 million Euros, the project helped developing irrigated zones, and reinforcing the autonomy of rural women, who constitute 35 % of Tunisian women.
