Danube river at the heart of Europe

19 countries share the Danube River Basin, which makes it the world's most international. More than 81 million people of different cultures and languages call the Danube Basin home. They have been interconnected for centuries through the widely branched out water system.

The 'Event of the Week' is a weekly programme highlighting a key event in the European Parliament.
