Syria to invest 2 billion dollars in waste water treatment systems by 2015
The Syrian Ministry of housing and construction has recently announced that it will commit about 2 billion dollars in order to implement a project on waste water treatment systems, over the next five years.
The project aims to build new waste water treatment plants in the upcoming years in the view of bringing 323 additional treatment plants by 2015. Most of the treatment plants will be located in the governorates of Rural Damascus, Homs and Latakia.
The Ministry will also hold a call for tenders in order to select the contractors of the future plants.
