News Vacancy announcement: Executive Secretary of the Sahara and Sahel Observatory

The OSS Executive Board intends to recruit the new Executive Secretary of the organisation.

1- Responsibilities and competencies
Responsibilities and competencies are described in detail in the Terms of Reference. Only nationals of OSS member States are eligible. 

2- Application procedure
Interested candidates are invited to submit an application package consisting of:

  • a letter of intent addressed to the Chairman of the Executive Board of OSS;
  • a duly completed application form;
  • an article laying out the candidate’s vision for OSS and the manner in which s/he envisages the management an development of the organisation;
  • a Curriculum Vitae highlighting key qualifications and experience acquired in organisational or project management in an international context.


Applications must be received by the OSS Executive Secretariat in a sealed envelope marked “Do not open” no later than September 15th, 2011. All applications must be sent by post to “Monsieur le Secrétaire exécutif de l’Observatoire du Sahara et du Sahel, Boulevard du Leader Yasser Arafat, BP 31, 1080 Tunis, Tunisie”. Applications sent by e-mail will NOT be considered.
