MEDRC announces a recruitment: Director of Training

MEDRC is an international organization, founded in 1996, with the mission of promoting and facilitating the use of desalination technology to meet the water needs of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).  It sponsors applied research, studies and projects, and professional education and training in the accomplishment of its mission.

MEDRC announces the establishment of the position of Director of Training (DOT) for the Continued Professional Education and Training Program (CPET) in desalination and water reuse and invites applications for the position. This position will be located at the MEDRC headquarters in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.  The DOT will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of the CPET Program. The CPET objective is to improve performance and increase output of MENA desalination and processing of wastewater facilities through certified professional training of the engineers and operators of these facilities. It will also include applied research for solutions to processing problems. A CPET plan has been prepared. The DOT will be responsible for plan implementation, including any modifications, and for management of the Program.

Education
A master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.

Experience
At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in desalination and/or wastewater processing operations, training and research are required.

Languages
English.
