Tunisia's Sonede Gets 60 Million Euro Loan to Fund Sea Water Desalination Facility
A loan agreement worth 60 million Euros (120 MTD) was signed by Tunisia's National Water Development and Distribution Corporation (SONEDE) and Germany's KfW Development Bank for the setting up of sea water desalination plant in Djerba (governorate of Medenine). Repayable over 15 years including a five-year grace period, the loan is secured by the Tunisian and German governments.
