WssTP at the "Water Innovation In Action" Kick-off meeting, Brussels 24/01/2014

The European Commission organised a one day event under the title ‘Water Innovation In Action’ on 24th of January in Brussels. Eleven new projects funded with €50 million by the EC, were presented at the event, aiming at promoting innovative solutions for water-related challenges.

Arturo Buenaventura, WssTP board member and Director Strategy and Markets at Abengoa Water was also there to give a key note speech on market opportunities for innovation in the water sector.

Over the years, WssTP has managed to position its members well to successfully participate to FP7 consortia. This is in particular illustrated by the success rates of WssTP members in the FP7-2013 Water Inno-Demo Call , where WssTP members had a success rate of 56%! These results not only underline the importance of WssTP as a collaborative platform to build projects but also hold a significant promise for the future under Horizon2020.
