New GWP Patron
Her Excellency Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of the Republic of Liberia, has agreed to join Global Water Partnership as a Patron of the organization.
President Sirleaf is the first elected female Head of State in Africa, a 2011 recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, and a Goodwill Ambassador for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in Africa. As many are aware she is also serving as co-chair, along with Mr Angel Gurria, OECD Secretary-General, for the High Level Panel of the Global Dialogue on Water Security and Sustainable Growth, taking place throughout 2014 and 2015.
