Getting closer to the Water Strategy for the Western Mediterranean
After the last meeting the 3rd workshop on the water strategy for the western Mediterranean organized back to back with EMWIS Steering Committee meeting in Valencia, Spain, last September, a set of 13 priorities were defined and participating countries were asked to provided details on relevant projects that could fit in the future action plan. Valuable contributions were received.
Based on these inputs the Secretariat chaired by Spain and Algeria, is now updating the documents, including the draft Strategy and its annex featuring the action plan.
The next preparatory meeting on the Water Strategy for the Western Mediterranean is now foreseen in early 2015 with a Ministerial meeting to adopt the Strategy later on during the 1st semester of 2015.
