5+5 water expert meeting, Valencia 30-31 March 2017

The 7th technical working group meeting of the Western Mediterranean process on water was held in Valencia on 30-31 March with the technical support of the MENBO at CHJ.

After the ministerial agreement on the Action Plan of the Water Strategy for the Western Mediterranean (WSWM), the objective of this meeting was to work on the practical implementation of the Action Plan. The meeting was divided into 2 parts: 1. A progress review on the action plan and proposals for activities for 2017-2018 based on contributions from countries and observers; a thematic technical session on urban water management when EMWIS presented a state of play in the Mediterranean based on the water workshop organised with the Euromed cities network in Nice in November 2016 and the collaborative platform on Mediterranean Sustainable Cities.
