European Water & Wastewater Management Conference: call for papers

The European Water & Wastewater Management Conference will be held in Newcastle (UK) the days 24-26 September 2007.

There are currently a number of important EC Directives that will impact on the quality of water resources throughout Europe and which will require a concerted effort and a large financial investment by individual member states if the timescales laid down in these Directives are to be adhered to. Although we have in place the technical solutions necessary to deliver on the requirements of these Directives, the energy costs of our traditional processes are increasingly under the spotlight and the likely impacts of these processes on CO2 emissions targets cannot be ignored. There is also an increasing requirement for all our environmental solutions to demonstrate that they are the most sustainable approach. Thus the theme for this Conference is to understand the existing asset base and identify the needs for innovation.
