UIA: TOPICS OF THE SECOND CALL FOR PROPOSALS ANNOUNCED
The Urban Innovative Actions initiative will launch its second Call for Proposals in November 2016.
The European Commission has selected the three topics that will be included in the call: sustainable urban mobility, the circular economy and the integration of migrants and refugees. A full description of the topics (and related sub-topics) along with the Guidance and Terms of Reference is available to applicants on the UIA website.
In the autumn, the UIA will host a workshop during the European Week of Regions and Cities (EWRC) in Brussels. This will be an opportunity for urban Stakeholders to learn more about the three topics of the second call and discuss their innovative ideas with European colleagues and officers from the Permanent Secretariat.
This call follows the successful first UIA Call for Proposals that saw 378 applications submitted by urban authorities from across Europe on the topics of energy transition, urban poverty (deprived neighbourhoods), jobs and skills in the local economy and integration of migrants and refugees. The selection process for this call is still ongoing.
